RECOGNIZING THE PURVEYORS OF TOURISM
The general purpose of Global Tourism Film Festival is to reward films and audiovisual productions that promote tourism. GTFF Awards define the benchmark of location communicated in audio visual production and destination cinematography portrayed in film, with jury selections awarded in the following aspects. Productions may feature in multiple GTFF award categories.
FIRST CATEGORY - FEATURE FILM
Feature Films (over 75 Minutes) can be submitted. Present films about travel and destinations, both modern and historical, where tourism is an integral part of the synopsis.
SECOND CATEGORY - TOURISM COMMUNICATION, DESTINATION PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
Class A: Tourism Communications
Commercials (up to one minute); Promotional Films (up to 15 minutes) Advertising Campaigns (up to 5 mins) and Animation Films.
Class B: Tourism Destination (City, Region, Country)
Tourism Products:
Cultural & Heritage Tourism
Religious Tourism
Adventure & Wildlife Tourism
Sports Tourism
Wine and Gastronomic Tourism
Nature and Eco-Tourism – Rural, Natural Attractions
Class C: Tourism Services
Accommodation – Hotels and Resorts, Private game reserves,
Transport – Airlines, Cruises, Railways, Ferries.
Other – Tour Operators, Tour Agencies, Tour Guiding, Restaurants. Events, Fairs, and Congress.
THIRD CATEGORY - SHORT FILM
Short Film, (up to 40 Minutes) is any audio-visual production not long enough to be considered a feature. They create a visual medium where multiple production elements play a strong role in consolidating the film's destination concept.
FOURTH CATEGORY - DOCUMENTARY
Documentary, (up to 90 Minutes) is a non-fictional motion-picture and deals exclusively with facts and real-life events.

- Best Director - Feature Film, Tourism Communication, Short Film, Documentary Category Award.
- Best Cinematography - Feature Film, Tourism Communication, Short Film, Documentary Category Award.
- Best Production Design - Feature Film, Tourism Communication, Short Film, Documentary Category Award.
Honorary Host Country Award - Dutch Filmmaker
Best Film promoting the host destination applicable to either Feature, Short Film or Documentary.

- Best Tourism Feature Film Award of the year plus holiday at five-star Resort (5 days, two persons).
- Best Tourism Documentary Award of the year plus holiday at five-star Resort (5 days, two persons).
- Best Short Film Award of the year.
- Best Tourism Communication Film Award of the year.

Film Selection Criteria
- An international jury will select the awarded films.
- The jury has access to all films, they will vote without sharing your work publicly and will decide to allocate awards to the best movies of the competition.
- The jury will select awards after evaluating the creativity, storytelling, direction, cinematography, performance, structure, and production value of the film and how the film was able to convey the idea, message or thought initially been and imaginatively.
- Only officially selected films will be screened at the annual event.
- Official competition does not select all submissions.
- Our jury is free to make their own choices.
- The jury and the festival Organization will make the final decision, which is not subject to any legal appeal.
Award Definition
- Only the highest honor is considered for the rank list if a film receives more than one prize.
- Getting a prize does not ensure the final selection for the screening.
- Winners who cannot attend the festival must inform the organization and make a payment for the processing costs and own shipping costs. They will receive their trophy after the festival.
- The GTFF supports, promotes, and develops the global audiovisual tourism industry by recognizing and rewarding excellence, and incentivize experts to raise the standards of their creativity continually.
